Lauren is headed to Denver this week to the Western National 4-H Convention where she will compete with her Quilting Demonstration: QUICK & EASY QUARTER-SQUARE TRIANGLES. She won first place at the Utah State Contests last summer. June Christiansen, founder of the Utah Quilt Guild in 1977, is the sponsor of Lauren's trip to Denver. I get to tag along as her "coach". Lauren placed second with her demonstration and enjoyed a week of fun activities and meeting new people from around the continental United States, Canada and even Hawaii. Her 4-H Leader and Agent got to tag along (me and Debbie) and had a great time.
