A little fabric, a few minutes, a couple of seams... Voila!
Learned to make this quick cutie runner from my local 4-H Extension Agent, Debbie. You can find this and more FREE sewing and quilting projects and resources here: sewing.usu.edu
I have a soft spot for the 4-H program. As a kid, with my Mom as my 4-H leader, I learned to sew, cook, take pictures, memorize the names of trees and rocks, learned to draw, to eat with chopsticks, gave demonstrations, showed my horse, taught other little kids to cook and sew, and always won ribbons at the county and state fair.
When my own kids were old enough, we formed our own 4-H club. Even my son is not afraid of a needle and thread, or knitting needles, for that matter! At any rate, my kids are all comfortable with a sewing machine and in the kitchen. My "3rDegree Bakery" girls were just 12 when they started selling breadsticks to the neighbors, "delivered hot to your table."
Good things come in threes, right?
I'm having a giveaway today, the 3rDegree Bakery's fabulous Home Cookin' recipe book and a scone mix, perfect for that quiet morning at home!
To play along, just leave a little note about your favorite home-cooked holiday dish. Do you prepare a special meal? I'll announce a winner at 8pm MST, Wednesday evening!
Meanwhile, Merry Christmas!!
