A Fantastic, Fabulous, Fantabulous Fabric Fest!

Fabric Fest was a whirlwind!

All those hours of getting ready, all those hours to drive to Las Vegas, setting up the store for Quiltique, stuffing our swag bags, sorting out kits for each attendee, helping with registration, helping the little kids in the fashion show, teaching four sessions of Snippets (Make & Take projects) and one class of Quilt School... falling into bed with happy exhaustion late every night.  We even had a chance to go and see the Donny & Marie Show, where I got a minute to chat with Jenny Doan and her girls.  But there was hardly any time to glance up let alone snap a picture!

On the last day, I was able to get a few shots of the final Make & Take class.  Chevrons everywhere!

Yep, that's Eleanor with her UFO-to-Go!  She used a fancy stitch on her Babylock machine to finish the binding.  Darling.

And as a bonus, I got to meet my sweet online friend, Carol (Just Let Me Quilt), who lived just down the street from the event!  I was thrilled to see her, then I tripped over a sewing machine cord to go out and get a hug!  We had breakfast together at the crack of dawn the next day with a few minutes to chat.  She's so cool.  And on the way home that afternoon, about 3 hours north, I ran into Carol AGAIN at a cute quilt shop I'd never been to before, Quilted Works, where Carol was delivering her stunning  Ladies' Diary quilt for machine-quilting.

All in all, an unforgettable week of quilting, learning, inspiration, making things, making friends, making memories.  Yes, Fabulous.
