What's in the Hat Box... and a Winner!

Fabric from last week's blog hop reminded me of what I had hidden in the hat box...
... and thanks for all the great comments on what I could store in this lovely box!!

 Channeling Mary Poppins...

 ...complete with a hat...

...Hot Chocolate with marshmallows.  Don't laugh, this is serious...

OK, you can laugh.
Remembering the 2002 Utah Olympic Winter Games, where it was our job to "warm up" the crowds while they waited in lines.  We sang songs like "Baby It's Cold Outside", "Button Up Your Overcoat" and ♫♪ "We are the Hot Chocolate Brigade, and we are here to bring you aid... ♪♫ in four-part harmony. We served little cups of hot chocolate (with marshmallows of course), and we laughed and made a million friends from all around the world.

We were dressed by folks from Disney, who also taught us to sing and dance at the same time, ha!  :)   This is my little group, OneVoice, (formerly known as "Deonn & the Blondes").  Gail, Carolyn, Mary and I have been singing together now for over 20 years.  Fun times, for a bunch of moms who met at church choir.  And a great outlet while we were all raising our families.

Anyway, just thought I'd share, since it's Olympic season again!

OK, back to business.
