Color Me a Rainbow... Quilt Market

Here are a few snapshots from International Spring Quilt Market, held right here in Salt Lake City where I was able to work (have fun) in the Riley Blake Designs' booth.  Don't mind the goofy smile.

Isn't that Crayola box the cutest thing you have ever seen???  At first glance it looks like a box of sidewalk chalk. Then you open the lid.

Aaaaahh!  Fat Quarters!!

At past Markets I've hosted Make & Take projects in the RBD booth, but this year I helped with their coloring contest.  Each of the Riley Blake designers contributed a page to their new "Color Me Riley Blake" coloring book, and for the contest, folks could choose a page to color.

The winner received a cute bin full of Crayola items plus a box of these new Crayola-inspired solid color confetti fat quarters.

Riley Blake has acquired the license to produce fabric lines not only with Crayola, but in the coming months also Kewpie, Jeep, Tetris, The Little Prince, and Anne of Green Gables to name a few.  Marketing genius, I say!

I bought a box of the Crayola fat quarters, but I don't know if I can ever bring myself to use them, they're so dang cute! Though, the amazing quilts on display in the booth have inspired me.  The middle one is the free pattern on the back of the crayon box:

LOVED this "Color Outside the Lines" quilt by Kelli Fannin.

I had just a few minutes left at the end of the show to wander and snap some color-gradation quilt pics.  Sorry I don't have credit info other than this one from Kimberly Bourne.  Enjoy this little bit of "Color Therapy"!

These pictures make me ♪ happy, happy, happy, happy ♫.  And they inspire me to try a little color-gradation myself.  Next quilt, maybe?  I may have to crack open that little Crayon-box of fat quarters...

    1. Mary, it was so great to hang out together! That is my other very favorite part of Quilt Market - it's like a Quilter's Reunion - meeting online friends, making new friends. I love it. It appears we have very similar tastes and interests! So fun! Yes, definitely color overload!
