Every Quilt Tells A Story

It's time for the annual Home Machine Quilting Show next week in Salt Lake City at the Sandy Expo Center!  What does that mean?  Time for the "Midnight Quilters" to take on the annual Design Challenge!!

This year's theme is "Every Quilt Tells a Story."

Here is a sneak peek of what the Midnight Quilters (aka Deonn, Debbie and Kami) came up with this year:

I really enjoy these design challenges. Fabric and batting is supplied by the manufacturers, and individuals or groups design a quilt with certain rules to follow, such as number of participants, size of quilt, and using additional fabrics. This year's fabric sponsor is Riley Blake Designs, with their "Sublime" line of fabric.  The finished quilts will be displayed during the quilt show, then auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going to PJ’s Forgotten Children--a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing comfort, joy and dignity to children whose parents suffer from mental illness.

What story do you see in this sample of fabric?

And what is the rest of the story?  We will find out next Thursday at the HMQS Awards Night!  Wish us Luck!!
