Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts |
Joanna Rose, an eighty-year-old woman in New York, has accumulated (amassed?) 651 red and white quilts since the 1950s. The following slideshows are from the American Folk Art Museum's online Flikr group taken by people who attended the show held March 25-30, 2011 in New York City. At first glance, I thought it was just a cool graphic display, but the more I look, the more it moves me, and I am amazed, astounded, awestruck. And every other synonym from A to Z. Wish I had been there--just wanted to share. How would you describe it?
...awesome, breathtaking, brilliant, dazzling, precious, stunning...
