Thanks for checking back after my technical difficulties this morning! My friend Deb let me use her office computer, downloaded pics from the card, called her tech support to email the big file, and voila! PICTURES, YAY!!
Both Utah-based companies (my home state);
had to travel to Houston to find them! *Ü*
Spray-basted the ruffle fabric to the Soft & Stable (polyester covered foam core - so perfect for any bag!). Then I stitched the ruffles down through the center and up on either side for a cool look. I left out the side gussets and trimmed my pattern to the shape of my teeny clasp. Stitched the bottom of the purse, then zig-zagged the raw edges and hand-stitched the top edges to the clasp through the little holes.
Also found these clasps at Quilt Market from a Korean-based
company called Hobby & Land
Now, I can just picture a larger matching bag...
a pretty skirt, maybe add a fun ruffled square to a quilt...
I think I'm going to have some fun with this ruffle fabric!
P.S. If you have hung in there and came back for a visit, let me enter your name in a drawing for a some ruffle fabric and Soft & Stable to make your own precious teeny ruffled purse! Make a comment below and I'll draw a random name when the hop is over! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteNow I will be forced to go buy some ruffled fabric. Dear Hubby says my sewing studio is turning into a 'coin-ery' and wants to know what I am going to do with all of these delightful 'coin-ers'. Why fill them with coins from your pocket Dear Hubby. He does not always appreciate my humor. But I did find some of the 'coin-ers' were missing and upon a thorough search found them hidden away in his bureau with gift cards in them (I'm thinking he is thinking Christmas). Thanks for sharing and a chance to win.
