5 ingredients.
1/2 cup EACH:
Sugar * Brown Sugar * Butter (1 stick, softened) * Light Corn Syrup * Sweetened Condensed Milk
Combine ingredients in a 2 quart glass bowl, and whisk together.
TIP: Don't throw away the butter wrapper - use it to lightly coat a 9 x 9" dish.
Microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes; stir. Microwave another 3 minutes; stir again. Done.
Pour into the buttered dish and allow to cool.
Cut into squares, roll up and wrap in parchment paper (I found this terrific foil- lined parchment paper at the grocery store).
MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Buttery and delicious!
A Stott family favorite: Pour the hot caramel over "fake" popcorn, as my girls call it.
(OK, you can use real popped popcorn too) With or without a few nuts... oh, mmmmm! Let the party begin. Store in an airtight container, if there happens to be any leftovers.
Happy Snacking!
These look delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, boy! I love easy and yummy looking recipes like this...thanks!
ReplyDeleteOMG---what is that? I was with you up until that "fake" popcorn stuff........
ReplyDeleteHaha, QuiltSwissy - I wondered if that picture would translate. They're corn puffs - around these parts, it's found on the same aisle as the potato chips. Basically, cheese-less Cheetos puffs. Our favorite are the buttery flavored - yup, loaded with calories, popcorn-y tasting without the kernels. It's truly delicious, despite what that picture looks like... Ü
ReplyDeleteMy DIL makes Caramels with real Cream, I have Sweetened Condensed in my storage. Glad I read the comments to find out what "fake Popcorn' is.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE caramels! That sounds delicious. What is "fake" popcorn?
