Tree skirt or Table Topper... That is the question!

Getting ready to quilt this little beauty...

Didn't quite have time to get this lovely tree skirt quilted before Christmas, but it made a beautiful table topper!  We just laid it out over a white tablecloth and covered the table with clear vinyl.  It looked so pretty... do I want to slice it up the middle to fit around the tree, or just keep it as a topper?  Or maybe not, because the design details get a little lost, hanging off the table.

Maybe I should add a couple more borders to square it up and make a lovely Lap Quilt?

Or maybe I should just make all three!  Decisions, decisions.   Ü

UPDATE: This one is now a finished Tree Skirt!  Can't wait for Christmas to come around again!

  2. Lovely. Go the topper or quilt. It would be lost under the tree.

    1. Good idea, Margaret! Though I do love the table. Oh, I know, I'll make a smaller one to fit the table... Brilliant. Why didn't I think of that?

  11. I'd vote for the lap quilt, I think it would be a shame to hide it away under the tree, and even on a bigger table it'll be covered up with plates etc too much of the time - it needs to be seen! Mind you, wall hanging sounds good too...!

  12. The piece is beautiful--I love the colors--and would be a great lap quilt. It would be a shame to hide such a great design under a tree.

  13. It looks great on the table. It is larger than I thought it would be. I would love to have all three so I am not much help. It looks like a fun design.
