Carla over at Creatin' in the Sticks has put together a super-fun blog hop this week!
About 10 years ago, Ms. Gervais herself created the cutest little pattern for an owl pillow/pincushion and I couldn't resist making this little darling from her newest line of fabrics for Riley Blake Designs. Meet Miss Owlivia!
Happy Sewing!!
Free Pattern: Owlivia
She can be a little "sewing companion" to set by the machine or on a shelf nearby to watch over the sewing room. She can also be used as a pincushion if you can bear to poke her with pins! Or she can be a cute pillow on the couch.
We are in the middle of moving into a new home. Of course, the first thing I set up was my machine, even before the bed! But then I had to locate the thread, then a little batting, and finally some stuffing. Couldn't find the stuffing so I robbed some fiberfill from a pillow form. I used rice in the bottom so she can stand up by herself. Luckily, I did locate a little Heat 'n' Bond fusible web and I used my AccuQuilt cutter and dies for the eyes. So sweet and cute! I may just need to make a whole family!!
Can't wait to really organize my sewing room (rooms!)
