Color Therapy: Iridescent Stars

Iridescent Star featuring scraps from my stash!

She's a cute little quilt!  Sorting through my stash and sewing these happy fabrics provided some much-needed color therapy!  The way the colors play, it almost looks translucent in some areas, and I just love how the colors sparkle in this quilt!  If you are in need of a little therapy yourself, the pattern is available as both a download and paper copy at Quiltscapes' Etsy Shop.

What is it about colors laid out in rainbow order?   I guess that's my happy place!

I've just finished filming a little video class of this quilt for the Utah Quilt Guild's RemoteFest 2021, one of five online classes.  Anyone can view the classes, available from now until May 31st.  Registration is a simple flat fee of $35.72 for all five classes (guild members receive a 30% discount).

I'll also be teaching this class live in September at Riley Blake Designs' "Garden of Quilts" event to be held at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah.  Maybe I'm a little starstruck, but I can't wait to rub shoulders with many industry rock stars who will be teaching and sharing their trunk shows!

Classes were canceled for last year's event, so I'm excited to teach three classes this Fall if all goes as planned:  Iridescent StarBinding & Alternate Endings, & Fun Curves Ahead.  Registration recently opened and the classes are filling up!

I love how the colors glow in this quilt!

And here is the original Iridescence, all made with my friend's grandmother's old polyester pantsuits!  You can read all about how the design evolved HERE.

I love how these colors pop in this quilt!

You're welcome for all the color therapy in this post.  After all, May is mental health awareness month.
Happy Quilting!
