Guest Post @ Diary of a Quilter ~ How to Calculate a Scalloped Quilt Border

Valentine Handkerchief Quilt made by Shawn T.

What an honor to share a guest post with Amy Smart over at Diary of a Quilter today!

It has been about 16 years since our quilty paths crossed at a local fabric shop.  Here's a quick photo I caught last fall at a "Quiltpreneur" Conference where she was one of the presenters.  I've long admired Amy and it is a joy to know her.  I was thrilled to receive her invitation.

Hop over to Amy's blog, www.diaryofaquilter.com to learn the few simple steps it takes to calculate and create fancy, curvy edges on a quilt that just needs that something extra.

Once the curves and scallops are quilted and trimmed, you'll need to bind those curvaceous edges.  Discover my best tips with that one special trick that makes it easy to bind odd-angled and scalloped edges in my book, Ultimate Binding & Edge-Finishing Guide.

Happy Sewing,
