Riley Blake Cutting Corners College

Riley Blake.  It's not a person, it's an entity - fabric designers, distributors, wholesale suppliers and more; a bunch of cheery, fun and generous folks who make it really easy to love them.
BIG FAN!!! Why?  Here are the my TOP 5 reasons:

#5 - They give me design challenges.  Riley Blake Designs sponsored the fabric challenge for Salt Lake City's  Home Machine Quilting Show.  My team won 3rd place in the contest last year, and I have another little pile of fabrics that have been speaking to me getting ready for this year's challenge...

#4 - They give me fabrics.  And batting.  And stuff.  Wanting to have a copy of last year's challenge quilt for themselves, Cindy and Jina supplied me with enough fabrics to make more!  Batting and notions were part of the trade.  They also donated a pile of fabric to use in teaching 4-H kids to quilt and sew!

#3 - They give me a chance to win prizes.  YEAH!! Made a comment on their blog the other day, and was randomly selected to receive a stack of fabrics from their new line, Sugar & Spice!  Oh, how I love squishy packages that come in the mail!!  PLUS, it supports my UFO problem New Year's resolution.

#2 - They give me ideas.  How can I not be inspired by these fun and wonderful fabrics?!  Visions of quilts always dance through my head...  They feed my addiction passion.

#1 -  They give me opportunities!  They have invited me to be an instructor for their "Cutting Corners College", and post a Quilting Basics monthly tutorial on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (sew exciting!!).  Click on the button below which will take you to Riley Blake Designs for my Binding Basics Tutorial!  Thanks for visiting!  Come back soon!

  3. Hi, Leigh! So nice to be found. Guild was great tonight - I am trying some of Sukie's suggestions instead of getting some sleep. But then, I'll be dreaming about it anyways...
