Throw Me A Curve!

"Throw Me a Curve!" Pillow
3-Seam Blocks. 3-D Curves.  Simple Effort, Stunning Results!

I love making quilts with big blocks!  This is my motto:  "If there is an easier way..."

I've been experimenting with giant dimensional bowtie blocks, and found that it's a great way to make a quick, interesting quilt!   I call it Throw Me a Curve!

Throw Me a "Spicy" Curve!  68" x 68" Lap Quilt
I finished one of these yummy quilts last week using "Sugar & Spice" fabric designed by my friend Amanda Herring (The Quilted Fish) and it showcases her prints beautifully! (Love these colors together!)  A stack of fat quarters was all I needed to get started.

Mitered borders

I used her luscious fabrics for a step-by-step tutorial on mitered borders I'll be posting soon.  Meanwhile, this little quilt has gone to live for awhile at Quilter's Haven in Bountiful, Utah, if you want to go take a peek.
