A Quilted Love Story, Part II

Mr. and Mrs.!!

It was a lovely June wedding for our darling girl and her new husband.  Sisters, friends, aunts, cousins, Mom and Grandma... the relatives came together to help with Cissy's special day.

Aunt Renee' tailored Cissy's budget wedding dress into a work of art.

She altered the dress to fit perfectly and added a pretty lace overlay.  Sister Lali beaded a ribbon to add the perfect sparkly accent.

Aunt Kathy and Great-Aunt Kay worked together on the flower arrangements, corsages and table toppers, while sisters made the bouquet.  Lovely!  (the flowers, too!)

Cissy chose turquoise for a wedding color to match the quilt that she had helped Ben to make (see PART I of this quilted love story) and accented with yellow, her favorite color.  The quilt turned out to be their wedding quilt!

Their quilt hung as a backdrop behind the arbor, the perfect setting.

Cissy's "Book Quilt" was hung above the gift table.

A light refreshment of pineapple sorbet was served with Aunt Annette's legendary homemade sugars, along with Grandma Mickie's yummy peanut butter bars.

Bro-in-law Ry served up the Dole Whip, and a pineapple quilt was hung behind the table.

The guest book table was topped with another quilt in matching colors.  Cissy had cut strips of fabric for everyone to sign their names, then she'll use those strips to make a signature quilt at some future time.

Lastly, we added another quilted table topper to display the most amazing, gorgeous (and tasty!) quilted cake made by a family friend, Anna!

All in all, our darling Cissy had the perfect day, simple and sweet, surrounded by friends and family...

...and stitched together with love. ♥♥
