September's National Sewing Month

A Recap:

September 1st ~ Epic TARDIS quilt.

September 9th - 13th ~ FABRIC FEST in Las Vegas with the good folks of Riley Blake Designs.  Made new friends, saw old friends.

September 17th ~ Pin It!  Blog Hop (See winner's list below).

September 17th ~ Sister, daughter and I found THE wedding dress!  PERFECTION.

September 19th ~ Caught my Soldier boy stitching on his Army ACUs.  Yes, this kid grew up in the sewing room.  So proud of my boy.

September 19th-21st ~ Sewing Summit in Salt Lake City.  I loaned my Big Board ironing board for the event, which just meant that I had to re-cover two iron-shaped scorched-out holes in the middle...  Looks great now.  Hung out with the Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild meet-up for a minute.  Made new friends.

September 21st - Girlfriend's Day Out in Logan, UT.  Great lecture and trunk show by Joanne of Fig Tree Quilts, my singing friend, Marilyn, and the cutie patootie DIY Dish gals, Kim & Kris.

September 24th ~ Wool Lovers' Blog Hop

September 26th ~ Star Medallion Tree Skirt (← see pattern) mini class at Pine Needles in SLC.

 Directional prints... "we done good"!

September 24th-26th ~ Monster Quilt Madness.  Used every inch of my longarm quilt frame (120") to quilt this mondo quilt for Jean.

September 27th ~ Overnight wedding quilt emergency marathon for another client/friend - quilted, bound and ready for pickup the following morning.  Fun stuff.  Who needs sleep?

September 30th ~ Finally did the drawing for my winners from the Pin It! Hop...  Now to email the winners and ship off the goods.

Congratulations to the following Pin It! hoppers:
Wristlet:  Michele
Hen Party Chick:  Bettina
Woolies:  Patchouli Moon - Pig, Rose Marie - Sheep
Heart:  LesQuilts
