Fabric Challenge 2021

This quilt could be yours!

"Rosie Posies", 68" x 84" lap/twin size quilt
featuring Dots & Posies fabric by Poppie Cotton

"Rosie Posies" is my entry in the 2021 Downunder Diversions' annual fabric challenge. This quilt, along with 23 others, will be on display locally at Nuttall's Sewing Center in Murray, Utah for the month of August, then auctioned online to benefit "Sew Much Hope", now a division of "Humanity Sews".

The design is based on a quilt called "Simple Gifts" by Heather Petersen of Anka's Treasures from her book, Livin' Large II.  I turned the blocks on point and added side sashing and corner triangles to float the squares.  I love how it turned out.

Love the gray wovens for the corner posts and binding.

I love to make quilts for these annual Design Challenges!  I've participated in some way for the past 14 years, first with HMQS, then UQSM.  See a bunch of them HERE.

And, even though our local Quilting Expo is no longer being held here in Utah, Downunder Diversions is still sponsoring this amazing charity fundraiser!  I'm happy to be a part of it once again.

Happy Sewing,
